The Director of Surgical Services is a full-time, on-site role located in Waterville, Maine. This position involves overseeing the operations and strategic direction of surgical services to deliver high-quality care to patients. Responsibilities include leading and managing surgical staff, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, developing and implementing process improvements, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet organizational goals. The Director will monitor budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and guide surgical services to align with MaineGeneral Health's mission and values.

• Strong leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and develop staff
• Experience in healthcare operations management and process improvement
• Knowledge of surgical procedures, patient care standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proficiency in budgeting, resource allocation, and strategic planning
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MHA, MSN, or MBA) preferred
• Active RN license in Maine or eligibility to obtain one is highly desirable
• Proven track record of fostering positive patient outcomes and improving operational efficiencies
