Job Summary:
As a Compliance Specialist, you'll play a critical role in overseeing the MaineGeneral Health Compliance Program, supporting departments with expert guidance and ensuring alignment with the federal and state regulations.Our team goes beyond problem-solving; we empower departments with the tools and knowledge to succeed. This position is onsite at the Ballard Center in Augusta, offering a collaborative environment where great ideas happen.
Job Description:
- Act as a compliance resource, staying current on regulations and offering clear guidance.
- Audit clinical documentation and revenue cycle processes, recommending and monitoring corrective actions.
- Develop and deliver compliance education across all workforce levels.
- Research coding, billing, and documentation requirements to support departments.

What you need to have:
- The position requires exceptional communication and critical thinking skills, as well as attention to detail, resourcefulness, and a commitment to process improvement.
- Regulations are complex and always changing. It’s important to have solid research skills to find reliable sources to uncover information and answer stakeholder questions quickly and accurately.
- Even-keeled manner, possess self-awareness, and base decisions on your analysis of fact.
- Background in a health system’s Revenue Cycle operations is highly preferred.
- Moderate understanding of Excel, Word and Powerpoint
