Job Summary
Maine Technology Institute seeks a candidate for the position of Director of Finance and Administration. Ideal candidates will possess strong experience in finance and human resource management. The position is a member of the senior management team and reports directly to the President.
Minimum qualifications include:
- BA or BS degree in accounting, finance or business; CPA, MBA or other advanced credentials strongly desired. Strong combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 10 years of hands-on experience in finance and administration management.
- Knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with GASB requirements helpful.
- Understanding of complex balance sheet issues, including deferred revenue and investments.
- Proven experience in senior financial leadership roles within non-profit sector.
- Expertise in governmental accounting practices and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Oversee audit processes in collaboration with external auditors; ensure accurate book-keeping and adherence to accounting principles such as accrual accounting and technical accounting standards.
- Effective demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and team skills.
- Proficiency in financial accounting systems (Blackbaud Financial Edge preferred), Microsoft products and database applications.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
