All students have an assigned school social worker and are supported by Behavioral Health Professionals (BHPs), Special Education Teachers, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Therapists.
Position: Assistant IT Director
Location: Position serving Monmouth, Auburn & Belgrade, Maine.
Compensation: $50K-$70K, Plus Excellent Benefits!

Working alongside the IT Director, this position helps manage daily IT operations, supports staff and student technology use, and strengthens our overall digital learning environment.
Requirements:
- Completed Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Educational Technology, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or systems management (educational or special education setting preferred)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Office 365 and Google Workspace
- Experience with internet safety protocols and content filtering systems
- Relevant certifications (CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, Google Certified Educator) preferred
- Strong knowledge of network security, accessibility standards, and data privacy regulations (FERPA, COPPA, ADA)
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License and Clean Criminal Background Check
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for faculty, staff, and students on hardware and software issues
- Manage and maintain Office 365, Google Workspace, and email systems
- Oversee classroom and assistive technologies to support students with special needs
- Assist with website management, including updates and accessibility compliance
- Maintain network security, monitor system performance, and enforce internet safety protocols
- Collaborate with the IT Director on long-term technology planning and infrastructure improvements
- Develop and deliver technology training sessions for staff
- Maintain IT documentation and ensure compliance with FERPA, COPPA, and ADA standards
- Support teachers in integrating technology into individualized learning plans
- Provide occasional evening or weekend support for maintenance or emergency troubleshooting
