Job Title: Administrative Assistant (full year position)
Location: Bonny Eagle High School
Reports To: Principal/Asst. Principal
Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant provides high-level administrative support to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the high school office. This role involves supervising administrative staff, managing front office activities, coordinating communications, and supporting school leadership with clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of administrative staff, including scheduling and task delegation
- Serve as the primary point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors, providing excellent customer service
- Manage office communications, including phone calls, emails, and correspondence
- Maintain and update student records, calendars, attendance, and databases accurately and confidentially
- Assist with scheduling meetings, appointments, and school events
- Prepare reports, letters, and other documents as needed by school leadership
- Coordinate with other school departments to support administrative functions
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures in office operations
- Train and mentor administrative staff and support their professional development
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in an educational setting
- Proven leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and school management software
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment
