What does Maine Oxy do?  We’re more than propane!  Maine Oxy is on a life-saving mission to provide the high-quality specialty gases that already make a daily impact on your life!  We provide and transport oxygen for local veterinary and medical offices, carbon dioxide for local breweries, acetylene for our local welders and metal fabricators and helium for everyone’s birthday parties!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a key part of our store team, you will:

• Put Safety First—Always

• Deliver exceptional customer service with strong product knowledge

• Troubleshoot technical questions from customers and team members

• Support all aspects of store operations

• Complete paperwork accurately and efficiently

• Step in to lead the store when the Store Manager is absent

• Build relationships as the primary in-store contact for key customers

• Assist with pricing, quotes, and occasional negotiations

• Support both inside and outside sales teams

• Assemble equipment, stock shelves, and create engaging displays

• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment

• Jump in where needed—no two days are the same!

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:30a - 4:30p

What You Bring

• Experience in welding, industrial gases, or related applications (preferred)

• Retail or inside sales experience

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills

• Familiarity with industry products is a plus

• Comfort using handheld systems (Zebra or similar)

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the day

• Frequent use of hands and arms; occasional bending, kneeling, or crouching

• Ability to lift 25–75 lbs occasionally

• Strong visual awareness (close, distance, and depth perception)
