We’re looking for a detail‑oriented, people‑focused Billing & Enrollment Representative to support health, dental, life, and income protection programs for Maine’s municipal employees and retirees. What You’ll Do
- Enroll members and verify eligibility across multiple benefit programs
- Generate and reconcile monthly employer and participant billings
- Administer COBRA notices and termination processes in compliance with state & federal law
- Serve as a trusted point of contact for employers, retirees, and participants
- Coordinate enrollment and billing data with third‑party administrators and vendors
- Prepare reports and correspondence that support sound decision‑making
What You Bring
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data and numbers
- Clear, professional communication skills and a customer‑service mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience in insurance billing, enrollment, or benefits administration (or the ability to quickly learn)
Preferred Background
- Associate’s degree in business, insurance, or a related field
- Experience with benefits systems, COBRA, or eligibility administration
Physical & Work Environment
This role involves a mix of sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials. Lifting up to 25 lbs may occasionally be required.
