Job Summary
The Police Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining public safety and enforcing laws within the community. Duties

• Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.
• Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents.
• Conduct thorough investigations of crimes, including gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.
• Write detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and investigations.
• Enforce traffic laws and regulations; issue citations as necessary.
• Provide assistance in animal handling and care when required.
• Utilize surveillance techniques to monitor suspicious activities.
• Maintain proficiency in law enforcement practices, including CPR and first aid.
• Collaborate with community organizations to promote public safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid law enforcement certificate or equivalent training.
• Knowledge of immigration law is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience in report writing is essential for documenting incidents accurately.
• Skills in animal handling are advantageous for situations involving domestic animals.
• Ability to drive safely under various conditions is required.
• Familiarity with militarized tactics may be beneficial for specific operations.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the public and colleagues.
• Must pass background checks and meet all physical fitness requirements.

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 14.0 per week
