English Teacher  2026–2027 School Year
Possible onboarding earlier for the right candidate We are seeking a skilled and accomplished Middle School English teacher to join our already successful English department for the 2026–2027 school year. As our program continues to grow, we are expanding course offerings and are looking to add a strong educator who will elevate an established teaching team. While this position is primarily for the 2026–2027 school year, there may be an opportunity to begin onboarding earlier for candidates who are available and a strong fit. This role is not for first-year teachers. Candidates must demonstrate proven success with this age group and strong classroom management. The ideal candidate brings both academic rigor and warmth, knows how to push students as writers and thinkers, and communicates clearly and professionally with families. Position Levels and Salary This role may be filled at one of two levels, depending on experience and qualifications: Growth Track

• Salary Range: $50,000–$75,000
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of full-time teaching experience (K-12 environment)
• Designed for a teacher with demonstrated success who is eager to continue refining their practice within a strong professional community

Advanced / Lead Level

• Salary Range: $85,000–$100,000
• Experience: 8–10 years of full-time teaching experience (K-12 environment)
• Designed for an accomplished educator with a strong track record of excellence and leadership

Key Responsibilities

• Teach middle school English with an emphasis on structured writing, reading comprehension, and critical thinking
• Maintain a well-managed, respectful, and academically focused classroom environment
• Implement clear expectations, routines, and accountability for student learning
• Communicate consistently and professionally with families
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum, pacing, and assessments
• Contribute to the growth of the English program through expanded course offerings and enrichment opportunities
• Engage in professional growth, collaboration, and reflective practice

Qualifications and Expectations

• Proven success teaching this age group
• Strong classroom management is non-negotiable
• Ability to grow writers through explicit instruction and feedback
• Experience differentiating instruction and supporting a range of learners
• Willingness to collaborate and contribute to a thriving department
• Upper elementary teachers with demonstrated readiness to move up are encouraged to apply
