Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinary staff.
- Provide compassionate care to animals, including handling and restraint techniques.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic, including surgical areas and examination rooms.
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as collecting samples and running tests.
- Support front desk operations, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medication administration, and post-operative instructions.
- Monitor animal patients during recovery periods, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
- Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, husbandry, and handling techniques is essential.
- Familiarity with medication administration and veterinary critical care practices is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
