We have an exciting opportunity for an APPLICATIONS ENGINEER at our WIXOM, MI location.
Responsibilities:
- Work with sales staff to develop customer applications.
- Prepare equipment and demonstrations for customer demos and tradeshows.
- Prepare training materials for products and provide in-house and on-site training for customers.
- Document successful applications in order to share knowledge within the Applications Engineering team.
- Prepare quotations for non-standard products and special applications.
- Document market requirements and translate into technical requirements as input for Product Management.
- Assist Product Manager with marketing opportunities.
- BS degree in Engineering and previous experience with precision metrology systems preferred.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing desired.
- Strong communication and customer service skills as well as demonstration of superior mechanical capabilities.
- The ability to travel up to 50% and the flexibility to adapt and adjust to changing and competing priorities.
