Interior House Manager for a Private Family, New York City

An exceptional opportunity awaits for an experienced Interior House Manager to take full responsibility for interior operations for two magnificent private residences in New York City and The Hamptons.
You will provide essential support for an executive couple, anticipate needs, and ensure the seamless operation of their homes.
Your Impact
As the Interior House Manager, your core mission will be to lead the team, elevate service standards, and ensure the meticulous appearance and orderly operation of both homes.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly oversee the interior staff, fostering a strong, positive, and communicative team environment. You will delegate tasks, lead weekly meetings, and ensure all staff uphold the principals' high standards.
- Function as the primary point of contact for the principals regarding the residences. Coordinate with the Chief of Staff on maintenance, repairs, and vendor oversight.
- Develop, update, and manage comprehensive digital household manuals, inventory systems for fine items (china, linen, silver), and staffing calendars. You are the architect of a perfectly organized household.
- Bespoke Service: Utilize your deep understanding of fine home care, including couture wardrobes, special surfaces, and fine linens to beautifully maintain the residence. You will oversee dinners and small events when the family is entertaining.
- A willingness to jump in and assist the Housekeepers with hands-on tasks, special projects, or seasonal work (like holiday décor and wardrobe rotation) is essential.

- You are a proven leader from a similar role in a fine private home or a luxury hotel environment.
- Your references are impeccable, and your dedication is long-term.
- Demonstrated skills in managing and mentoring domestic teams to foster excellence and team camaraderie.
- Highly organized with a keen eye for the smallest detail.
- Has a deep understanding of providing elevated, anticipatory, and discreet service.
- Experienced with smart home technology and digital platforms for staff scheduling and creating household manuals.
- Willing to travel between NYC and The Hamptons as needed
- Extremely mindful of the principals' privacy.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday in the off-season with flexibility for occasional weekends
- 5 days per week in the summer season to include weekends
Compensation and Benefits
- Total Salary: $250,000 to $350,000 based on experience
- Excellent, comprehensive benefits package
- Housing/food/travel provided in the Hamptons
