Role Description The Logistics Continuous Improvement Engineer is a full-time, on-site role located in Dayton, OH. This position is responsible for analyzing logistics processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and implementing solutions that enhance material flow, inventory management, and warehouse operations. The role includes developing and maintaining standards, supporting lean initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize cost. Daily activities involve data analysis, process mapping, root cause investigations, and tracking performance metrics to ensure sustainable improvements. The engineer also supports change management, trains team members on new methods, and contributes to continuous improvement culture within the logistics organization.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in logistics, supply chain management, and warehouse operations, including material handling and inventory control.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and value stream mapping.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in data analysis and problem solving, including proficiency with Excel or other analytics tools and root cause analysis techniques.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in project management, including planning, coordinating cross-functional activities, and tracking timelines and deliverables.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in communication and collaboration, with the ability to work effectively with operations, engineering, and leadership teams.
