We’re seeking a Skilled Maintenance Technician to support safe, reliable, and efficient hospital operations. In this role, you’ll apply broad technical expertise across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems to keep our facilities running smoothly. Your work ensures a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors while supporting essential hospital functions.
What You’ll Do
Facilities Maintenance & Technical Operations
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on HVAC, boiler, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with motors, valves, actuators, and control systems
- Maintain and repair hospital equipment including beds, sterilizers, kitchen equipment, and office devices
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to complete work accurately
Building & Environmental Support
- Complete work orders and PM tasks efficiently and document all work performed
- Conduct general building repairs including painting, drywall, flooring, ceiling tiles, and door hardware
- Ensure safe use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
Contractor Coordination & Project Support
- Coordinate with outside contractors to schedule, oversee, and complete facility projects
- Support life safety systems including fire alarms and emergency response protocols
- Assist with snow removal, grounds tasks, and general facility upkeep
Systems & Administration
- Access and utilize the Computerized Building Management System
- Prepare purchase orders for materials and equipment
- Maintain compliance with regulatory standards including Joint Commission and HIPAA
Security & Emergency Response
- Respond to facility codes, alarms, and security matters as required
- Participate in on-call rotation and support after-hours needs

Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude and technical competence
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Proficiency with computers and basic typing; ability to use building systems software
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
Preferred
- Associate Degree or technical training in a related field
- Certifications in HVAC or other maintenance specialties
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare environment
- 5 years of experience in skilled maintenance roles
