The position requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, as well as continuous use of communication and diagnostic tools.

What You'll Do
- Oversee daily shop operations, including repair orders, workflow, and timely completion of service
- Perform and support advanced diagnostics, troubleshooting, and complex repairs on tractors and trailers
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for technical issues within the shop
- Assist with maintenance scheduling and prioritization to minimize downtime
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure repairs meet company and regulatory standards

Job Requirements:
We are seeking an experienced and dependable Diesel Technician with strong technical expertise and leadership-level problem-solving skills. Ideal candidates have:
- Advanced mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, tools, and equipment, including repair and maintenance
- Experience using diagnostic software, electronic systems, and computer-based troubleshooting tools
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements
- Knowledge of transportation operations and freight movement
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks for self and others
- Ability to communicate effectively with shop team members and supervisors to resolve issues such as parts availability and time constraints
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset focused on efficiency, safety, and quality work
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Diesel Engine Specialist certification or related technical degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of diesel mechanic/technician experience required
- CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred, but not required
