Magnum is hiring a Dock Lead to oversee the safe, accurate, and efficient movement of freight within our LTL dock operations. This role is responsible for managing daily dock activity, supporting team members, and ensuring freight is received, handled, and dispatched on time while meeting productivity and safety standards.

What You'll Do
As a Dock Lead, you will support daily dock operations and help ensure freight moves safely and efficiently through the terminal. Responsibilities include:
- Plan and organize dock layout and freight placement to maximize efficiency and accuracy
- Monitor operations to ensure productivity targets and bills per hour (BPH) are met
- Oversee data entry, billing, and administrative functions
- Supervise team members and direct daily workflow, escalating issues to management as needed
- Train staff and monitor performance to support team development and accountability
- Respond to customer inquiries and concerns via phone, email, or other communication channels
- Ensure routes are dispatched on time and operations stay on schedule
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure work environment

Job Requirements:

- Previous forklift experience
- Knowledge of warehouse and freight handling processes
- LTL dock experience preferred

- Reliable, self-motivated, and trustworthy work ethic
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to read, write, and speak English

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Dock Leads work in a warehouse and loading dock environment with concrete floors and loading docks on both sides of the facility. Employees operate equipment such as propane-powered sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, handheld scanners, and warehouse computer systems to move and track freight. The environment is well-lit but includes exposure to warehouse noise and varying temperatures, which may drop to around 45°F depending on the season. The role requires regular movement and the ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs, as well as a full range of motion necessary for warehouse tasks.
