Sanitation TechnicianSummary of FunctionsMaintain the plant, machinery, and surrounding areas in compliance with Safety Quality Food (SQF) Institute standards and all Food Safety Procedures. Follow all safety rules and company policies while supporting sanitation department management to ensure all assigned cleaning tasks are completed accurately and efficiently.
Work ScheduleMonday–Friday: 2:00pm– 10:30pm Saturday & Sunday: Schedule varies; weekend work required Two days off per week, scheduled based on operational needs

Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations Perform all FDA‑ and SQF‑monitored sanitation duties according to the Master Sanitation Schedule Complete daily housekeeping assignments throughout the plant Complete weekly general cleaning assignments Complete sanitation tasks during production down days Share cleaning skills with new employees as needed Record all sanitation tasks on the sanitation cleaning schedule form Coordinate and assist with maintaining cleaning materials inventory Perform basic maintenance tasks such as repairing rack sections, changing light bulbs, and moving boxes or equipment Comply with quality assurance regulations, SQF standards, and all food safety requirements Follow all safety procedures in a proper and consistent manner Wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) Use lockout/tagout devices and procedures as required Assist with wastewater management Maintain compliance with the quality system, food safety, and SQF procedures Perform other duties as assigned based on departmental and business needs
