Job Summary

This full-time position will follow the teacher calendar (Monday - Friday) of 186 days for the 2026/27 school year. The start date is 08/18/26. *Work schedule is subject to change at anytime at the District's discretion. DEFINITION Under the direction of site Principal and/or Designee, will provide instruction and basic supervision of children. Creates a flexible elementary-grade program and a learning environment favorable to learning and personal growth for students with mild to moderate disabilities using specific teaching strategies and methodologies in the core curriculum aligned with K-12 standards as defined by state goals and objectives in each student’s Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Performs other related work as necessary or required.

Requirements / Qualifications

To apply for the position of Education Specialist, Mild-Moderate Teacher you must meet one (1) the minimum requirements below: - Valid California Credential authorizing service in Mild/Moderate Disabilities w/English Learner Authorization - Valid California Credential authorizing service in Moderate Support Needs w/English Learner Authorization - Verification Letter from the University stating program completion date (must be no later than end of June 2026) of the Moderate Support Needs Teaching Credential w/English Learner Authorization

Credential Copy (Detailed document from CTC [must show authorization])

SALARY -Salary is dependent upon Degree(s), number of semester units beyond a Bachelor's Degree, CA Credential, and previous experience; -Additional salary increases are earned for longevity with MSD; -Additional salary steps can be credited for experience for each full year of prior public school teaching experience with proof of service(s); -Certificated staff are paid monthly on an 11-month pay schedule (August-June/CalSTRS or September-July/CalPERS); -*2025/26 salary Board Approved February 19, 2026, new schedule will be posted May 2026; -CERT Salary Schedule: https://www.magnoliasd.org/apps/pages/hr-salary-schedule BENEFITS -Health benefits available to employees and their families include medical, dental, and vision; -Benefits Information: https://www.magnoliasd.org/apps/pages/health-benefits WORK YEAR -Start date is August 18, 2026.
