What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Director-Substance Use Disorder Inpatient Facility position at Magnolia City Detox and Recovery?
Magnolia City Detox and Recovery Center is hiring a hands-on Program Director for our Joint Commission–accredited facility in Conroe, TX. You'll run daily operations across the full continuum of care — Detox, Residential, PHP, and IOP — in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
We're looking for a leader with recent, direct experience fully running a licensed SUD program, who takes ownership of the client experience end to end — from clinical programming to food service to environment of care.

Position Summary
- Daily operations across Detox, RTC, PHP, and IOP levels of care
- 24/7 operational oversight and accountability across all shifts
- Client experience end to end — clinical programming, environment of care, food service, housekeeping, and every touchpoint that impacts how clients feel
- Staffing strategy, scheduling, coverage, and performance management
- Regulatory compliance — Texas HHSC, Joint Commission, 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA
- Quality improvement, audits, chart reviews, and incident response
- Cross-department partnership with nursing, clinical, UR, admissions, billing, and HR
- Client retention, customer service, and grievance response
- KPI performance and operational benchmarks
Required Qualifications
- Active Texas credential required under HHSC regulations: LCDC or QCC-eligible license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist, or Psychiatrist) with documented SUD experience, per 26 TAC Chapter 564
- Must live within 30 minutes of zip code 77384.
- Proven, recent experience fully running a licensed Detox and/or Residential behavioral health program, with working experience across PHP and IOP
- Strong operational leadership background in behavioral health
- Deep knowledge of Texas HHSC, Joint Commission, 42 CFR Part 2, and HIPAA
- Experience managing 24/7 licensed operations
- Strong leadership presence — able to hold teams accountable while maintaining culture
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a clinical behavioral health field
- Experience with Kipu EMR
- Prior experience passing Joint Commission surveys
- Experience overseeing food service and environmental services in a licensed setting
