Position Overview
The Senior Manager/Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) will steer financial
performance and support strategic decision-making for a growing bakery business with
company-owned and franchise locations. This leader will partner with operations to optimize
bakery economics, deliver performance reporting and insights, and support weekly/monthly
cadence and the annual budget. The role will also help scale the franchise model through
unit economics and best practices, reimagine the commissary facility to better serve bakery
locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial analysis and modeling for company-owned bakeries to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations leaders as a strategic advisor to support decisions and drive performance.
- Own performance reporting and insights, including weekly flash results, monthly management reporting and analysis of results, trials, and ad hoc events.
- Collaborate closely with the accounting team throughout monthly closing processes, deliver prompt feedback, and ensure accurate and comprehensive results for final reporting packages.
- Play an essential role in the annual budgeting and forecasting process by coordinating inputs and making sure they match the company's objectives.
- Support franchise development by modeling unit economics, codifying scalable best practices.
- Evaluate and refine the commissary model to maximize value and support for bakery locations.
- Guide capital allocation and investment planning across company-owned and franchise operations.
- Monitor industry trends and benchmark performance to inform targets and maintain competitiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within multi-unit retail, food service, or franchise environments.
- Proven track record of partnering with operational leaders to drive business results.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, and performance management.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with experience presenting to executive teams.
- Experience with commissary or supply chain operations a plus.
- Systems experience using NetSuite ERP and BI/Analytics tools
