Test Lead

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled quality assurance professional to join our dynamic software development organization. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the completeness, quality, correctness, and security of software products through rigorous evaluation and testing methodologies. You will collaborate closely with multiple development teams across various software projects, playing a critical role in delivering reliable, high-quality software solutions to end users.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and test software applications for completeness, quality, correctness, and security vulnerabilities
• Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases aligned with project requirements
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks
• Perform both manual and automated testing covering software functionality, installation, and usability
• Define, monitor, and track quality assurance metrics including defect densities and open defect counts
• Manage bug and error tracking processes from identification through resolution
• Document test results thoroughly and present findings to management stakeholders
• Coordinate and prioritize testing efforts for application modifications and bug fixes
• Collaborate effectively with multiple development teams across concurrent software projects
• Communicate testing status, risks, and quality concerns to project stakeholders in a timely manner

Skills

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, strategies, and best practices
• Proficiency in developing and executing both manual and automated test cases
• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages
• Familiarity with software security testing principles and vulnerability assessment
• Ability to define and analyze quality assurance metrics and key performance indicators
• Experience with bug and defect tracking tools and test tracking software packages
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting results
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate testing across concurrent projects
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams

Experience

• Proven experience in a software quality assurance or software testing role
• Hands-on experience developing test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts
• Experience working within agile or iterative software development environments
• Prior use of test tracking and defect management software packages is strongly desired
• Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple development teams and projects
