Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced data analyst to support electric distribution operations in Colorado by building, maintaining, and enhancing performance scorecards and dashboards. This role plays a critical part in empowering leadership to make informed, data-driven decisions by consolidating key performance indicators, operational metrics, and trend data into clear, interactive visualizations. The ideal candidate will work closely with a collaborative leadership team, contributing to ongoing efforts to modernize the data infrastructure — including a transition to Power BI dashboards and exploration of Databricks for more automated data pipelines — while supporting quarterly business reviews and weekly performance reporting cycles.
Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain weekly and year-to-date performance scorecards tracking key operational KPIs
- Develop and enhance interactive Power BI dashboards to replace and upgrade existing reporting tools
- Consolidate and present data for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and leadership action planning sessions
- Track and report on metrics including overtime per worker, customer power outages, scheduled finish dates, and O&M spend
- Integrate data from systems such as ARCOS emergency call systems and Echo Online safety observation platforms
- Monitor and report on safety observations and EDVIR driver compliance requirements
- Support the continued build-out of the organization's data lake infrastructure
- Explore and assist with implementing Databricks for more automated and scalable data workflows
- Create additional visuals and reporting tools that improve team decision-making and interactivity
- Develop and manage multiple scorecards across various operational groups within electric distribution
- Collaborate regularly with leadership to quickly surface insights and respond to ad hoc data requests
- Participate in regular scorecard review meetings and contribute to data-driven action plans
Skills
- Proficiency in Power BI for dashboard development and interactive data visualization
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
- Experience working with large datasets and building scalable reporting solutions
- Familiarity with ARCOS and Echo Online platforms (preferred)
- Knowledge of Databricks or similar data engineering platforms (nice to have)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across the Microsoft product suite
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present data clearly to leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple reporting workstreams and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Experience supporting KPI tracking, trend analysis, and operational performance reporting
- Background in utilities or electric distribution (nice to have)
Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related field
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining scorecards and executive-level dashboards
- Experience supporting leadership teams with data analysis and performance reporting
- Prior exposure to utilities or electric distribution operations is a plus
