About the Role
Airbnb's Guest & Host Technology team is looking for a Contract Technical Program Manager (TPM) to drive execution across our Product Detail Page (PDP) and Guest Price Display programs. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role embedded within the Booking & Pricing engineering organization, supporting one of the most visited and conversion-critical surfaces on the Airbnb platform.
You'll work directly with Engineering, Product, Design, and Data Science to ensure features ship on time, dependencies are managed proactively, and the team is moving with clarity and purpose.
What You'll Do
Own program execution for PDP and Guest Price Display initiatives — tracking milestones, surfacing risks, and driving resolution across Web, iOS, and Android engineering teams
Partner with Engineering Managers, Tech Leads, and PMs to align roadmaps, sequence work, and ensure cross-team dependencies are visible and unblocked
Drive the delivery of key workstreams including price transparency, pre-booking price display surfaces, price display consolidation, and fee-related systems
Run regular program cadences — standups, cross-functional syncs, and stakeholder updates — ensuring progress is visible and issues are escalated appropriately
Identify and mitigate technical and execution risks before they become blockers
Contribute to bi-annual product release planning by managing PDP and Guest Pricing workstreams through Airbnb's product lifecycle
Translate complex technical work into clear status communications for engineering directors and senior leadership
What We're Looking For
7 years of Technical Program Management experience, with a track record of driving cross-functional software programs to completion
Experience working on consumer-facing product surfaces — PDP, checkout, pricing, or booking flows are a strong plus
Ability to understand and reason about technical systems, including frontend/backend integrations and multi-platform delivery (Web, iOS, Android)
Strong stakeholder management skills; able to lead through influence with no direct authority
Comfort operating in ambiguity — you know how to make order out of chaos and keep programs moving
Experience with Airbnb's tech stack or similar high-scale consumer platforms is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication; you can synthesize complex tradeoffs and present at the right altitude for any audience
