We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and collaborative Project & Design Manager to join our architectural design studio. This role will oversee the coordination, management, and execution of landscape architecture projects from concept through construction, while leading a talented team of designers and supporting exceptional client service.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, liaising with clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Support the full project lifecycle including project initiation, kickoff meetings, and closeout
- Work with the Studio Leader to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Assist in the development of proposals, fee estimates, project schedules, and forecasts
- Collaborate on creating and maintaining detailed project and staffing schedules
Project Management
- Oversee daily and weekly task assignments for Senior Designers, Designers, and Interns
- Manage communication and workflow between clients, consultants, and internal teams
- Provide oversight and support to the design team to ensure successful project development
- Ensure all deliverables are completed accurately, on time, and in line with project expectations
- Maintain fluency with building codes and submission processes, and stay current on industry standards
- Conduct monthly reviews of work-in-progress reports and approve client invoices in line with contracts
- Analyze and review project performance reports in collaboration with the Principal
Project Execution
- Lead the design production process within the team
- Conduct initial quality assurance/quality control reviews for all deliverables
- Guide projects through all phases of design—from concept development to construction administration—including the preparation of construction documentation
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide direct supervision of the design team, including task assignment, design direction, performance reviews, and mentorship
- Participate in recruitment efforts by conducting interviews and making hiring recommendations
- Support the onboarding and training of new team members
- Foster strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and vendors
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture
- 5–10 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong design skills, visual sensibility, and attention to detail
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication abilities
- Proficient in preparing clear hand-drawn and digital graphics
- Ability to effectively delegate, manage tasks, and lead a team
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities to meet project deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- High level of creativity and design intuition
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, and familiarity with 3D modeling software
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Landscape Architect (or specialized accreditation)
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, on-time, and on-budget projects
- Experience with high-end residential and/or institutional landscape projects
- Self-starter with a passion for exploring innovative design solutions
