Position Summary Serves as a member of the surgical team working with surgeons, anesthesia providers, RNs and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery in accordance with Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) and AST Standards of Practice. Education High School diploma or equivalent. Graduate of nationally accredited, approved by the OHA education program for surgical tech and has OR is able to obtain Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTA) within 12 months of graduation or Completed training for surgical techs in the military and has completed 16 hours continuing education every 2 years or Provides documentation showing surgical tech practice during at least 2 of the 3 years immediately preceding and completes 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years.
