Position Overview:

Our Kitchen Team Members create dining experiences that leave guests raving and looking forward to visiting again for another amazing meal. While servicing our buffet, doing prep work, cooking the food for the buffet, washing dishes, and bussing tables, this team has fun by ensuring our guests have a wonder-filled experience they won’t soon forget . Kitchen Team Members need to be comfortable working at a fast-pace in a team setting. No matter which track our team members are assigned to, they must be able to multitask and be able to step into any and all kitchen-related positions whenever needed.

Responsibilities/Duties

• Preps and cooks food items for the buffet, in a timely and consistent manner based on the cooking schedule provided by the Kitchen Manager.
• Assists with stocking and setting up the kitchen/buffet/dish room zones.
• Correctly stores, preps and serves all food according to kitchen guidelines set forth by the Kitchen Manager.
• Records food waste on the proper buffet food waste documents.
• Maintains clean and organized prep and cooking stations.
• Sets up/preps/maintains/tears down the hot bar, salad bar and dessert bar while maintaining a high level of cleanliness to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Works with servers to clear tables of unused and dirty dishes, and is attentive to additional needs of our guests.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores all plates, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries and maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves and properly notifies the Kitchen Manager when supplies are low.
• Completes all assigned daily, weekly and monthly cleaning lists.
• Ensures trash is emptied whenever necessary throughout the shift.
• Ensures that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.
• Works closely and maintains a positive and professional environment with other kitchen team members, as well as all Magic & Wonder team members, and guests.
• Participate in all required meetings (i.e. - Wonder University, All-Staff Meetings, 1-on1’s, daily huddles), to stay up to date with changes, grow as an employee, and support your team

Qualifications/Skills

• Cooking experience is a plus (will train the right candidate.)
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and active listening skills.
• The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time.
• Accuracy and speed in completing assigned tasks.
• Great verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a high energy level.
• Excellent at multitasking.
• Proactive
