Position Overview

This is a split shift position. You will work a morning shift and an evening shift at assigned commercial facilities within your service area. Both shifts are required — this is not a single-shift role.

All new hires begin as Commercial Cleaner I and are trained on Magic Touch cleaning standards and procedures. Employees who complete the 90-day introductory period and demonstrate consistent attendance, quality work, and professionalism may advance to Commercial Cleaner II, which includes additional hours, increased responsibilities, and advancement opportunities within the company.

This position reports directly to your assigned supervisor. All communication, schedule changes, and facility concerns go through your supervisor — not directly to the client.

Work Schedule

Morning Shift: approximately 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM Evening Shift: approximately 5:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Both shifts are required. Candidates who are only available for one shift should not apply. Occasional weekend coverage may be required based on account needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Clean and maintain floors — sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming
• Clean restrooms, offices, classrooms, gyms, and common areas to facility-specific standards
• Clean glass surfaces, mirrors, and partitions
• Remove trash and replace liners
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies
• Use cleaning chemicals and equipment correctly and safely
• Perform outdoor cleaning tasks when required — entrances, playgrounds, pool areas
• Follow client-specific scopes of work for each assigned facility
• Complete digital documentation and photo verification of completed work each shift
• Report issues, supply needs, and safety concerns to your supervisor immediately

What We're Looking For

• Ability to commit to both morning and evening shifts as scheduled
• Reliable transportation to travel between assigned facilities in Nassau County FL, Duval County FL, and Camden County GA
• Ability to understand and follow work instructions in English — this is a safety and operational requirement
• Smartphone with active data plan — time tracking, communication, and photo verification are required daily
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background check — required for school and sensitive facility accounts
• Ability to pass a drug screening
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical cleaning work for extended periods

Preferred:

• Prior commercial cleaning or janitorial experience
• Experience servicing multiple facility types
• Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors

90-Day Introductory Period

All new hires enter a 90-day introductory period. During this time we evaluate:

• Attendance and punctuality
• Communication and professionalism
• Work quality and attention to detail
• Adherence to assigned schedules

Magic Touch maintains a zero-tolerance policy for no-shows or unexcused absences during the first 90 days. Employees who successfully complete this period are eligible for advancement to Commercial Cleaner II and additional opportunities within the company.

Employment Terms

This is a full-time W-2 position servicing ongoing commercial account. Continued employment is based on performance, reliability, and account availability.
