We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will manage a variety of accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with accounting standards. Your expertise will support our financial operations, from maintaining ledgers to preparing reports, helping us uphold our reputation for excellence and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account analysis, and account reconciliation.
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and payroll laws.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to verify financial accuracy.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems to record transactions and generate reports.
- Prepare financial reports, including statements and summaries that support management decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and other relevant accounting standards.
Skills
- Proven experience with bookkeeping, accounting systems, and financial software like QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting practices, governmental accounting (if applicable), and non-profit accounting principles.
- Expertise in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, account reconciliation, and budget management.
- Proficiency in spreadsheets (Excel) and 10-key typing for efficient data entry.
- Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and write detailed financial reports.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail and accuracy in account analysis.
