Magic City Auto Group, Bedford, VA is seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic service team. This paid apprenticeship offers hands-on training and mentorship to develop your skills in automotive repair and diagnostics. Duties
- Assist senior technicians with repairs on a variety of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical components
- Learn to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, wheel alignments, and shock & strut replacements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify issues and support repairs
- Study schematics and automotive electrical systems to understand vehicle layouts and repair procedures
- Support the diagnosis of complex mechanical problems using automotive diagnostics tools
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace adhering to safety standards
- Gain experience working with dealership-specific systems like ADAS (Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems)
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Automotive experience is preferred but not required
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Basic hand tools are preferred but not required
