Position Summary
Magellan Aerospace, Middletown has a great opportunity for a Temp General Accounting Associate (3 months). The successful incumbent will ensure proper internal controls of the finance administrative activities including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, and General Accounting & Payroll functions. The General Accountant will support the finance team with various financial reporting requirements & the administration of the fiscal period processes.

Essential Responsibilities
- Assist team with administrative, accounting, and bookkeeping functions.
- Perform clerical tasks including filing, data entry, and answering calls.
- Handle basic bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial data is accurately recorded.
- Assist with payroll processing and related documentation.
- Prepare and maintain financial documents, reports, and records.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts.
- Analyze financial data and prepare summaries or reports for management.
- Support the creation and monitoring of budgets.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Provide support during internal and external audits.
- Associates degree in Accounting, Finance or related field OR 2-5 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g. Great Plains Accounting System). Experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
