What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Care Tech - MedSurg - Fulltime position at Magee General Hospital?
Position Summary:
- Under the direction of nursing personnel, the nursing assistant provides patient care activities and related services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Duties include but are not limited to personal hygiene, collection of vital signs, assist nursing and/or physician staff with procedures as needed, unit cleaning and assistance with eating.
Education Requirements:
- Completion of a program for nursing assistance or relevant work experience to test for C.N.A. Certification.
Experience Requirements:
- Acute care hospital experience is preferred.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of Mississippi is preferred. BLS Certification is required.
