Position Summary

The Facilities Technician is responsible for helping maintain the appearance, cleanliness, safety, and overall operation of MAG Industries' facilities and property. This position combines custodial duties with general maintenance, groundskeeping, and facility improvement projects.

No two days are exactly alike. One day may involve cleaning offices and restrooms, while another could include painting, assembling shelving, changing light fixtures, mowing grass, assisting with repairs, or helping complete improvement projects throughout the facility.

This position works closely with our maintenance team and other departments to ensure our buildings remain clean, functional, and well-maintained.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness throughout offices, warehouses, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize facility spaces.
• Empty trash and recycling containers.
• Restock restroom and breakroom supplies.
• Perform minor building maintenance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance projects.
• Help maintain warehouse organization and storage areas.
• Perform seasonal groundskeeping including mowing, trimming, weed control, leaf removal, snow removal, and general exterior upkeep.
• Assist with facility improvement projects as assigned.
• Move furniture, equipment, and materials as needed.
• Perform basic repairs and report larger maintenance issues.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Support other departments with facility-related projects as business needs require.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial, facilities, maintenance, landscaping, construction, or general labor experience is preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude is a plus.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Forklift experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a team.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Dependable attendance and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Bend, kneel, climb ladders, and reach overhead.
• Work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.

Schedule

Full-Time

The standard schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
