Position Summary
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join their growing team. This individual will play a key role in managing the movement of goods, coordinating transportation activities, and ensuring products are delivered accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, experience working with carriers and suppliers, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments with carriers, vendors, and warehouse teams.
- Track shipments and proactively resolve transportation delays or issues.
- Schedule deliveries and maintain shipment documentation.
- Communicate with internal departments, customers, suppliers, and logistics partners regarding order status and delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory movement and assist with inventory reconciliation as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Maintain accurate records within ERP, inventory management, or transportation management systems.
- Analyze shipping data and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to logistics and supply chain operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Experience coordinating domestic shipments; international logistics experience is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics-related software systems.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar platforms is preferred.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and carrier management.
- Experience working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs).
- Strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
- Customer-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
Salary : $65,000 - $75,000
