The Role: Operations Support Associate
This position provides vital administrative support to our multi-shift terminal operations team. As a key point of contact, you will be responsible for processing and verifying shipment documentation, tracking incoming freight, and preparing packages for shipments. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the smooth shipment of both inbound and outbound freight.
Main Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate documentation for inbound and outbound shipments.
- Monitor incoming containers and address any issues promptly.
- Prepare shipment documents using our Windows-based system.
- Coordinate incoming freight documentation for efficient cargo movement.
- Create outbound manifests and prepare associated paperwork.
- Address inventory discrepancies and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with the Yard department on gate activities, equipment reconciliation, and maintenance.
- Support the Customer Service team with data entry and other tasks.
- Process production updates and confirm receipts.
- Oversee fulfillment functions, including wave production.
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by management.
Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in Supply Chain or Logistics.
- A self-starter attitude and ability to work independently under pressure.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office products.
- A strong team player attitude and flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, holidays, and weekends.
