Madsen Construction, Inc. is a leading industrial and commercial construction company, with a focus in structural concrete, steel, civil and earthwork, based in Southwest Wyoming. We manage a diverse range of commercial projects in the industrial, mining, oil/gas and commercial sectors. We are rapidly growing and expanding our project portfolio and are seeking a Project Manager to join our team.
As the Project Manager, you will be instrumental in driving the success of commercial and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of project management experience, with a strong preference for candidates with a background in BIM. As our new Project Manager, you will be comfortable collaborating on all aspects of the project life-cycle as well as working independently to drive results for the business.
Responsibilities:
- Participates in project scope development, estimating, proposal preparation, and client presentations
- As needed manages design schedules and compliance of design efforts with established budgets, plans, specifications and Company standards of workmanship, quality, and performance and with the terms and conditions of the contract
- Routinely conducts field inspection of work in progress and provide updates to stakeholders
- Travel may be required as needed to support project tasks or programs
- Manages projects within budget and delivers on-time results to our customers
- Identify risks and opportunities, proactively problem solve to mitigate downtime
- Lead teams and ensure everyone is clear on expectations and is working efficiently together
- Ensure project documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and easily accessible
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in managing commercial construction projects with structural concrete
- Bachelor’s degree in project management or equivalent experience
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, estimating software, on-screen take-off tools, Bluebeam, and MS Project 2013. Experience with Procore/Prolog, Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, or other BIM software is a strong plus.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and foster client relationships, both new and existing.
- Strong leadership abilities and a proactive mindset.
- Prior financial P&L responsibilities for projects
- Collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of risk management principles and continuous improvement practices
