About the Role
We are seeking a Field Drilling Coordinator to support the scheduling, coordination, and administration of geotechnical drilling and field exploration activities. This role works closely with drill crews, engineers, and clients to help keep projects organized and running efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience or familiarity with geotechnical drilling operations, field coordination, or utility-related work.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule geotechnical drilling and field exploration activities
- Communicate with drill crews, field personnel, engineers, subcontractors, and clients regarding schedules and project logistics
- Assist with preparing proposals and project documentation under the guidance of engineering staff
- Support project reporting, invoicing, and administrative tracking activities
- Answer and manage incoming calls and field coordination requests
- Help coordinate utility clearances and subsurface utility considerations prior to drilling activities
- Maintain organized project records, schedules, and field documentation
- Assist with equipment and resource coordination as needed
- Support overall field operations and help ensure projects remain on schedule
- Understanding of geotechnical drilling operations, field exploration activities, and drilling coordination
- Previous experience as a driller, driller helper, field technician, utility coordinator, or similar field operations role strongly preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to manage schedules and coordinate multiple field activities simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Mechanically inclined is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with both office and field personnel
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
