Madisonhealth is seeking a Daily Specials Chef. This employee will oversee the planning, scheduling, execution, and follow-up for daily dinner specials provided in the Paragon. Additionally, this employee will assist with product ordering, help in all areas of the kitchen and Paragon as needed, and build relationships with employee and community customers

Madisonhealth is seeking a Daily Specials Chef. This employee will oversee the planning, scheduling, execution, and follow-up for daily dinner specials provided in the Paragon. Additionally, this employee will assist with product ordering, help in all areas of the kitchen and Paragon as needed, and build relationships with employee and community customers
Schedule: Part-Time
- M-F and every other weekend
- 2-3 shifts per week average (12:00pm - 8:30pm)
- To be discussed in interview
- Working knowledge of food service industry and practices and standards.
- Organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of basic money handling - providing change, counting bills and coinage, and creating deposits.
- Monitoring food quality and efficiently adapting to and correcting issues.
- Monitoring speed of service.
- Working knowledge of calculating costs and menu pricing.
- Exhibiting and using knowledge of a wide array of ingredients, menus, and preparation techniques.
- Exhibits creativity in menu creation and flavor combinations.
- Working knowledge of portion size.
- Training of new employees.
- At least three years in commercial cooking or foodservice environment.
- Knowledge of use and care of kitchen equipment and supplies.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- ServSafe Certification, preferred.
