Madison Settlement Services in Plano, TX is hiring! We are looking for an experienced Escrow Officer. This is an in-office, full-time position. Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Ability to complete routine residential resale, refinance or builder escrow transactions, including document preparation and the accurate preparation and submission of the closing disclosure
  • Ability to read and understand title commitments
  • Ability to resolve title issues (e.g. corrective deeds, vesting, federal tax liens, abstracts of judgment, bankruptcies, mineral rights, boundary disputes and encroachments)
  • Open title order requests
  • Prepare commitment packages to be sent to clients (mortgage brokers, lender, buyers and sellers)
  • Submit documents for recording
  • Prepare final title policies
  • Understands real estate regulations and guidelines.
  • Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and guidelines
  • Coordinates the closing between all parties to the escrow
  • Returns all calls, voicemails and e-mails in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains cordial relationship with realtors, lenders, builders, buyers and sellers to promote/solicit business
  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines.

Experience, Skills, Knowledge

  • Texas State Escrow License is required
  • Must be a certified notary public in the state of Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years escrow experience is required
  • This is a position will sit in our Plano office.
  • Knowledge of Qualia is preferred
  • Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Position Requirements:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Experience: 2-3 Years as an Escrow Officer or Escrow Assistant OR a minimum of 3 years related experience
Texas Escrow Officers License (preferred)
Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.
Knowledge of ResWare a plus
