TITLE: Summer - Food Service Caterer
SCHEDULE: June 1st - July 31st 2026
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED:
Supervised by the Food Service Manager. Exercises no supervisory duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Have or be able to obtain a current Maricopa County food handler’s certificate.
- Ability to organize work to meet a time schedule.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Ability to walk stands, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Possess basic math skills.
JOB GOAL:
Participate in food preparation, serving, and clean up of the school’s meals to ensure nutritious, high quality, safe foods are served to students and adults. Strive to provide excellent customer service to students and adults.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Assists in preparing, serving and storage of food.
- Knowledge of proper cooking and serving temperatures to ensure food is safe for consumption.
- Washes and dries dishes, pots, pans and serving utensils and returns to proper place.
- Cleans tables and assigned areas in the kitchen or cafeteria.
- Organizes work to meet a time schedule.
- Follows directions and works in a cooperative manner with co-workers.
- Ability to walk, stands, bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reads and understands all labels and job-related information.
- Understands and applies safety-related precautions as outlined in MSDS.
- Performs additional duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.
