What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nutritional Services - Dietary Cook - (PT) position at Madison Memorial Hospital?
Madison health is seeking to hire a skilled Kitchen Staff to work in the Kitchen and Paragon (Cafeteria) cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals; prepare late and short stay trays, and other cooking duties as required.
Additional responsibilities assigned may include cleaning of dishes, all work areas, dining areas, and handling money/cash register as needed.
The incumbent must be able to represent Madison health and their values by providing stellar customer service.
Schedule: Part-Time
- M-F and every other weekend
- 3-4 shifts per week average (6:00am-2:30pm AND/OR 12:00pm - 8:30pm)

Required Skills:
- Working knowledge of food service industry and practices and standards.
- Organization.
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of basic money handling - providing change, counting bills and coinage, and creating deposits.
- Monitoring food quality and efficiently adapting to and correcting issues.
- Monitoring speed of service.
- Working knowledge of calculating costs and menu pricing.
- Exhibiting and using knowledge of a wide array of ingredients, menus, and preparation techniques.
- Exhibits creativity in menu creation and flavor combinations.
- Working knowledge of portion size.
- Training of new employees.
Work Experience:
- Previous commercial cooking, preferred
- Knowledge of use and care of kitchen equipment and supplies.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
