Director, Corporate Development – Next-Generation Nuclear Platform | Austin, TX
We’ve been retained by a next-generation nuclear energy developer to hire a Director of Corporate Development, supporting the build-out of a highly strategic function as the business scales.
The Role
A senior, execution-focused hire operating at the center of the business across corporate development, capital markets, and strategic finance. You will lead M&A, project financings, and strategic partnerships, working directly with senior leadership to drive company-defining transactions as the platform transitions from development into deployment.
About the Platform
Focused on deploying small modular reactors (SMRs) to deliver reliable, carbon-free baseload power. Advancing a pipeline of modular nuclear units targeting industrial customers and large energy users. Positioned to benefit from accelerating demand for consistent power supply, particularly from data centers and energy-intensive infrastructure.
Candidate Profile
- 5 - 10 years across investment banking, private equity, or corporate development within energy/infrastructure
- Strong transaction execution experience across M&A, financings, and strategic partnerships
- Advanced financial modeling capabilities and strong commercial acumen
- Experience operating in a lean, high-growth environment with broad, unstructured scope
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and drive transactions end-to-end
- Interest in the energy transition; nuclear experience not required
