Duties
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
- Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates using EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease and ensuring a safe environment.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with healthcare standards including infection control protocols.
- Support patients in behavioral health or mental health settings by providing empathetic caregiving tailored to individual needs.
- Engage in ongoing training on EMR/EHR systems to document patient information efficiently.
Qualifications
- Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare environments such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home care preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support procedures.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and support patient needs.
