Head of Global Payroll | Alternative Asset Management

Location: New York City

Madison Davis is partnering with a leading global alternative asset manager seeking an experienced Head of Global Payroll to lead payroll operations across the U.S., London, and Hong Kong.

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned payroll professional to take ownership of a global function, drive process improvements, and work closely with senior Finance leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end global payroll operations, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing.
• Oversee payroll tax compliance, statutory reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Manage payroll-related benefits, including 401(k), employer contributions, and other employee benefit programs.
• Oversee payroll systems, vendor relationships, and international payroll providers.
• Drive payroll automation, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Partner with Finance, HR, Tax, and Technology on payroll and workforce-related initiatives.
• Support payroll accounting, reconciliations, audits, and compensation reporting.
• Lead and develop payroll team members.

Qualifications

• 10 years of progressive payroll experience, including leadership of end-to-end payroll operations.
• Strong Workday Payroll experience highly preferred.
• Deep knowledge of payroll taxation, compliance, benefits administration, and payroll reporting.
• Experience managing payroll for a global or multinational workforce.
• Proven ability to improve payroll processes, implement systems, and manage external vendors.
• Experience in financial services or asset management preferred, but not required.
• Understanding of payroll accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• CPP certification or equivalent preferred.
