Continued fundraising and investment activity have created the need for a highly analytical tax professional to support an expanding global platform.
This is a highly visible opportunity that extends well beyond traditional tax compliance. The AVP will partner closely with senior leadership on complex tax planning, structuring, and reporting while supporting transactions across the investment portfolio. The team operates in a lean, collaborative environment, offering broad exposure across the business rather than a siloed tax function. Responsibilities
- Partner with senior leadership on tax planning, structuring, and strategic initiatives.
- Support the tax function across a diversified private equity investment platform.
- Review complex tax analyses related to investment transactions and portfolio companies.
- Coordinate with external tax advisors on compliance, reporting, and planning matters.
- Analyze tax implications of acquisitions, dispositions, and fund structures.
- Support management company tax reporting and investor-related tax matters.
- Research complex federal, state, local, and international tax issues.
- Partner cross-functionally with Accounting, Finance, Legal, and Investment teams.
- Drive process improvements through automation and AI-enabled solutions.
- Prepare presentations and analyses for executive leadership.
- Support special projects and strategic initiatives as the platform continues to grow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or a related field.
- CPA and/or Master's in Taxation preferred.
- Experience within private equity, alternative asset management, public accounting, or financial services.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation and investment fund structures.
- Experience with tax planning, compliance, and tax reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience improving processes through automation or AI is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Salary : $130,000 - $200,000
