Job Summary
DESCRIPTION: The Coordinatior of Student Services provides leadership and supervision of programs associated with student services. He/she will provide information and serve as a resource to others achieving defined objectives by planning, evaluating, developing, implementing and maintaining services in compliance with established guidelines.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate the review, development, and revision of all programs related to Student Services.
Assist in providing resources and materials to support staff in accomplishing program goals.
Implement district and school professional development requirements, programs and activities.
Coordinate on-going subject area and team meetings.
Provides and develops staff training for newly adopted and existing programs.
Oversees the systems discipline program including the Code of Conduct.
Supervises the systems Social Workers.
Provides oversight of attendance issues and special projects related to student services.
Oversees student records to include transcripts.
Assists and supports school-based registrars.
Manages the collection of data and ensure dissemination of the findings in a user-friendly format.
Participates in meetings (e.g. workshops, seminars, conferences, etc.) for the purpose of conveying and gathering information regarding a wide variety of subjects addressing student services issues.
Use appropriate methods to motivate, gain commitment and facilitate task accomplishment.
Represent the system in a positive and professional manner.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification in Educational Leadership/School Administration
Minimum of three years administrative and supervisory experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Successful experience as a principal
Knowledge of best practices in leadership and instruction
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local law and the regulations of the ALSDE
Experience in analyzing data
Excellent oral and written communication skills and an ability to influence others internally and externally
An ability to analyze quantitatively and problem-solve
An ability to evaluate programs, practices, and personnel in a manner that supports student achievement
Passion, conviction, and the innate ability to inspire others
Duty Days: 240
Salary Range: According to Madison County Schools Salary Schedule.
