The Madison County Prosecutor’s Office is hiring a major felony deputy prosecutor and a Level 6 felony deputy prosecutor.
Madison County is served by 21 law enforcement agencies with more than 300 police officers. The Madison County Prosecutor’s Office has a staff of 59 employees including 22 deputy prosecuting attorneys. Each year, the Madison County Prosecutor’s Office files and prosecutes approximately 2,000 felonies, 500 juvenile delinquency petitions, 5,000 misdemeanors, and 6,000 infractions.
The initial annual salary for the Level 6 felony position is between $75,000 – $90,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
The initial annual salary for the major felony position is between $80,000 - $105,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Both positions include PERF and full county benefits. There is no residency requirement.
