We are currently seeking an experienced Paralegal for our client specializing in commercial real estate law, located in mid-Westchester. Key responsibilities include drafting and reviewing real estate documents, conducting due diligence, coordinating closings, and resolving property-related issues. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree, 2–3 years of relevant experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management software, and strong organizational skills. A Paralegal Certificate is a plus but not required. This is a fast-paced environment where you will collaborate with clients, lenders, brokers, and counsel to facilitate smooth transactions. This is a permanent full-time position; Hours: Optional 9:30-5:30 or 10-6; Salary: $70K
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review initial drafts of commercial real estate documents: leases, purchase and sale agreements, easements and closing documents.
• Conduct due diligence: order and review title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other property-related documents.
• Coordinate and manage closings, including preparation of closing checklists, escrow instructions and closing statements.
• Review and summarize title and survey issues and prepare title objection letters.
• Work directly with clients, lenders, brokers and opposing counsel to facilitate smooth transactions.
• Manage and organize transactional files in accordance with firm procedures.
• Research and resolve issues related to property ownership, encumbrances, and other real estate matters.
Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree; Paralegal Certificate not required, but a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a paralegal in commercial real estate law.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and document management software. Familiarity with title, survey, and real estate recording systems.
• Knowledge: General understanding of commercial real estate transactions, title review and closing processes.
• Soft Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
