What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at Madison Approach Staffing Inc?
Sales Operations Manager
New Rochelle, NY (On-Site)
We are hiring a Sales Operations Manager to serve as the operational hub of our growing POS division. This is not a traditional inside sales support role. You will be the single point of contact for our regional sales managers and external customers — the person who knows where every order stands, can navigate our SAP Business One system to find answers in real time, and has the authority and judgment to determine what needs to move now.
You will coordinate across our shipping, invoicing, and inventory teams to keep fulfillment running smoothly, hold people accountable to timelines with professionalism and firmness, and step in as backup wherever the division needs you. You will also help us document our operational processes and improve them — incrementally, thoughtfully, and with full buy-in from leadership.
If you’ve spent your career wearing multiple hats at a manufacturing or product-based company, know how to be warm with customers and direct with colleagues, and are looking for a place where your contributions are visible and your growth path is real — we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
Be the Go-To for Sales and Customers
- Serve as the first and most consistent point of contact for regional sales managers and external customers on order status, lead times, product availability, and fulfillment questions
- Access SAP Business One to pull real-time answers and communicate them clearly — resolving the vast majority of inquiries without escalating to manufacturing or senior leadership
- Triage competing requests, decide what gets prioritized, and communicate those decisions with clarity and confidence
- Proactively follow up on open items so regional managers never have to chase answers
- Coordinate across shipping/logistics, invoicing, and inventory teams to resolve cross-functional issues while keeping each team focused on their primary work
- Hold colleagues accountable to timelines and process standards — constructively and without creating friction
- Know when the answer isn’t in SAP and know exactly who to call to get it
- Stay cross-trained on all three core operations functions so that when someone is out, the division keeps running
- Jump in at month-end or during high-volume periods to process paperwork, handle documentation, and keep orders moving
- Partner with our Director of Operations to document how the division actually works — creating the SOPs we’ve needed for a long time
- Identify practical, incremental improvements that reduce friction and improve throughput
- Keep our SAP data clean, current, and useful
- 5 years in operations, inside sales support, customer service, or a cross-functional coordination role in manufacturing or a product-based environment
- Solid ERP experience; SAP Business One or another manufacturing ERP strongly preferred — you need to know how to navigate a system, not just look things up
- The ability to be warm with customers and firm with colleagues — and to switch between those modes naturally
- Proven track record of managing competing priorities with good judgment and without drama
- Experience wearing multiple hats at a small-to-mid-size company — you know how to do the work, not just delegate it
- Comfort with shipping/logistics documentation, invoicing workflows, and inventory management is a strong plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
- $90,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience
- Comprehensive benefits: health, dental, vision, 401(k)
- 100% on-site role at our New Rochelle, NY headquarters
- Direct exposure to senior leadership in a company where your work is visible and your contributions matter
- A real growth path — we promote and develop from within, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us
- A mission that means something: the products we make protect lives every day
Salary : $90,000 - $100,000
