Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage job evaluations to ensure equitable establishment of job standards and worth; audit jobs and assist managers with job description development
- Manage salary structure and job hierarchy including participation in salary surveys and utilizing survey data to determine structure shifts while ensuring internal equity
- Analyze market data and trends to set annual pay increase budget; ensure adherence to pay increase and incentive plan budgets
- Conduct special compensation analysis to determine competitiveness and develop creative solutions for retention and organizational goals
- Ensure compliance with all compensation-related legislation including FLSA
- Work with Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to determine salary and bonus for employment offers using market and internal data to ensure market and internal equity
- Serve as compensation consultant to HR Business Partners and leaders regarding compensation philosophy, processes, and administration of individual employee pay
- Analyze, prepare, and communicate recommendations to executive level approvers
- Experience: 3 years demonstrated compensation analyst experience; hospital or healthcare setting preferred
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or business-related field (or equivalent combination of technical and functional experience)
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical, math, and negotiation skills with ability to perform independent in-depth analysis and present findings
- Excel Expertise: Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (required)
- HRIS Knowledge: Proficiency in HRIS database management, analysis, logic, and report generation
- Compensation Programs: Knowledge of compensation programs and laws including base pay, variable pay, and FLSA
- Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; above-average facilitation and presentation skills
- Influence: Demonstrated ability to influence and coach at all organizational levels; ability to work as credible partner with executives and management
- Organization: Outstanding organizational ability with strong attention to detail and deadline orientation
- Multi-tasking: Very strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification or currently pursuing CCP designation
- Healthcare compensation experience
- Experience with salary surveys (e.g., SHRM, Mercer, Culpepper)
- Process improvement and implementation experience
- Experience with incentive plan design and administration
- Knowledge of healthcare market trends and competitive practices
