- $45.00 Daily Per Diem
- Guarantee of 50 hours each week
- Paid Lodging
- Time and one half after 40 hrs. worked in a seven-day work period Weekly pay
- .70¢ per mile travel reimbursement or paid airline ticket
Summary
Performs a variety of duties, including deburring and cleaning of high-tolerance aviation and aerospace parts while ensuring they remain in tolerance.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding of edge break, chamfer, radius, and fillet print requirements
- Work from blueprints and follow routers, corrective actions and other forms of written, verbal, and visual instruction.
- Use various hand and power tools to remove burrs, tool marks, and other visual defects from metal work pieces with very tight tolerances and surface finishes
- Become Familiar with microscope and fiber optic lighting.
- Scrutinize every facet of the job and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials, and unusual conditions to Supervisor.
- Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Requires the use of acquired knowledge, mechanical aptitude.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to locate information/interpret router instructions
- Ability to be self-sufficient on more complex parts and creating and interpreting work instructions
- Effectively uses process, material characteristics, and sequence of operations
- Cares for parts in accordance with procedures (CP/Handling/ FOD)
- Demonstrates independent action
